Uzugami (渦神分裂増殖人間), also known as Uzugami: Bunretsu Zōshoku Ningen, is a Japanese horror manga series written by Hisoka Ooshiro and illustrated by Takashi Yamaguchi. The story follows Satoru Takeichi, known as “Ichigo,” who works at a sawmill. One day, a mechanical accident results in the amputation of the pinky finger on his right hand. Despite a thorough search, the severed piece cannot be found. After being medically discharged, Satoru returns to his apartment only to find a startling surprise—another version of himself, whom he calls “Nigou,” is there. This marks the beginning of a bizarre and unsettling shared life between Satoru and his mysterious doppelgänger.

With a focus on horror and body horror elements, Uzugami explores themes of identity, transformation, and the uncanny.
